Engage attention to switch off – create, dance, meditate, listen to music.

Gratitude and savouring – list 5 things you are grateful for.

Question the  inner voice – listen to your inner critic and prove the voice wrong.

Tune into the wiser and kinder voice – what would your wise, kind, 80 year old self say?

Accept, let emotions be – don’t try to fix, avoid or judge.

Breathing techniques – inhale, exhale, take three deep breaths daily.

Meta habits – movement, sleep, nutrition, rest.

Simple pleasures – antidote to emotional exhaustion.

Manage news – limit exposure to news, social media, smartphone.

Get bored to recharge – what will you do with the time?

 

Remember WOOP!

Wish – pick one thing that is challenging but that you can fulfil.

Outcome – what would be the best thing about achieving this? How would you feel?

Obstacles – what, that can be controlled, might stand in the way?

Plan – if that happens, what will you do in response?
